HISTORY
From its beginnings in 2004, FCC founders recognized the importance of providing Christian fellowship for healing professionals in the mental health field. When the initial planning committee met, the intent was to offer an opportunity for Christian counselors to meet, learn, and pray together. "As we spoke to Christian counselors in the community, it became clear that they were looking for support in these areas. We recognized the power we shared through our relationship with Christ to face the challenges of our profession." Today, the Fellowship of Christian Counselors has expanded its membership to provide opportunities for learning, fellowship, peer supervision and prayer support to counselors, pastors, and healing professionals in the helping field.
PEOPLE SERVED
Although membership is not restricted to geographical boundaries, most members live and work in the Fort Wayne area. The majority hold masters degrees in the counseling field, some hold doctorates, and many are licensed with the state. We are proud that our members represent a wide variety of specialty areas and settings.
